Tom's background in wood actually began twenty eight years ago in North Carolina at the age of eighteen. As an apprentice in antique hand hewn log home restoration, modern carpentry including framing and interior trim soon followed.

Years later living in New York City, he schooled in cabinetry and Shaker furniture.

Having moved to New York's Adirondack Mountains in 1989, Tom soon discovered Rustic furniture.
