Rustic Furniture

We at the Rustic Homestead offer furniture constructed of Yellow Birch and Rock Maple for the framework of our chairs and tables.

For beds and settees we use Yellow Birch and Cedar.

Our chairs are of mortise and tenon construction.

For table tops, seats and three-panel backs on our chairs, we use highly-figured wood (Cherry, Maple, Lacewood and burled wood of the same).

We cross-peg all chairs, beds and settees at 16 points with 1/4 inch hardwood dowels for strength (a Shaker design).

Our Armoires, Sideboards, Sofa Tables and Bureaus are adorned with Birch Bark, twigs, pinecones and antlers to create the Adirondack look.

Antler Lighting

We at the Rustic Homestead want you to know that our Antler Lighting is constructed of grade A shed antlers. All of the components (wire, sockets, bulbs and plugs) are UL rated and all of our lighting fixtures have been CSA approved.

Antlers used in the construction of our lighting are Whitetail, Mule Deer, Moose, Elk, Fallow Deer, Red Stag and Caribou.

All of our lighting is internally wired. We use the best grade Sculpt-Epoxy to fill in the holes. The epoxy dries and has the look of Antler. It does not shrink, can be routed and stained. "We even have a hard time locating our exit holes". We use Antlers to cover the candelabra sockets. Also, at no extra cost we give you hand-forged decorative links, custom chain (mat-black) at the length you need, light bulbs and a plug.

If you live within 100 miles of us, we install for free. 100 miles or farther, a dollar a mile one way.

When ordering Rustic Furniture and Antler Lighting:
• A 40% deposit is required, balance upon delivery.
• Please allow 6-8 weeks on all Antler fixtures.
• Rustic Furniture takes a fair amount of time to create. We don't rush any piece or set. We spend a lot of time on detail. Being flexible is always appreciated.
• We ship anywhere in the lower 48.
• We use the U.P.S store and orders are insured for the full amount.
• A balance plus shipping invoice will be included.
• Please send checks payable to the Rustic Homestead, no cash please.
